Pros & Cons Of Where You Live…

I currently live in West Palm Beach, Florida. Although, I am originally from Long Island New York..

My Favorite Parts About Florida Are :

  1. The Beaches Are Beautiful.😎🌴
  2. Wild Life Is So Cool.. I love being able to live by all of these beautiful free creatures. πŸ πŸπŸ‘πŸ’πŸ™πŸŠ
  3. It’s really so much cleaner of an environment than it was back home in New York…😁
  4. It is soo big I feel like if I really let myself travel around it could make for some interesting adventurez.. πŸ˜‚πŸ“·

Now For The Bad Stuff & The Reasons I Don’t Absolutely Love Florida…

  1. Sharks Sharks and More Sharks πŸ˜†, I have gone to the beach my whole life in NY and Here and I Have never seen as many sharks as I do here…
  2. The Storms Scare The Hell Out Of Me πŸ˜΅βš‘β˜β˜”πŸŒ€πŸŒŠ!!! Although, the plus side is we do not have snow or super cold winters. For example it is New Years Eve and I’m in shorts and flip- flops (😎 83 degrees here people πŸ˜…)
  3. Although, I feel the rest of florida is cheaper to live all of South Florida really is not. So as to where maybe the general base pay and salary may work in other places if you do not work at a job where you make above average you are truly struggling to survive. Our bills keep going up but our pay and salarry never does. 😳πŸ˜ͺ
  4. To get from point a to b during season is extremely aggrevating because of all the apartments, condos, hotels and etc. We really do have just way to many people driving around and not enough space..

My Favorite Things About New York Are:

  1. It is now and forever going to be my home… πŸ˜ŠπŸ—½πŸŒƒπŸš‰πŸŒ‰β›΅
  2. The food is Amazing… πŸŽ‰πŸ•πŸ©πŸžπŸ“πŸ¨πŸŽπŸ³πŸͺ🌽
  3. Holidays have not been the same since I left… I mean it is great hanging out in a pool on christmas given a warm enough day but a christmas without a chance of snow takes away from the magic. And christmas window shopping and visiting the tree in New York City Is Just To Perfect To Match.. Halloween in new york is so much more fun hands down, I feel there is to much fear in florida. The only holiday that is pretty cool in florida opposed from New York Is 4th of July because of the lawd but it depends on your neighbors πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…
  4. The faster pace… Florida is super slow compared to back home 🏑!

Now for the crappy parts of New York Living…

  1. It’s just so dirty it has way to much polution and things could use a bit of a face lift. So to speak but the old style vibe is in some ways cool after not being home in x amount of years I can still go back like nothing ever changed…
  2. Prices are thru the Roof !!!! πŸ’ΈπŸ’°
  3. Although, I love going home to visit a place that does not really change. Living there after a while you realize you have already done it all lol. Unless you travel to a different place in NY You Have Probably taken the same vacations 100 times. I know I have lol they are fun but its nice to have a little adventure every once in a while.
  4. Okay Common Sense Here, Next is between Traffic and the Weather πŸ˜†…Β  Rush hour… Good luck and Snow, Sleet, Hail… I love snow but what comes with it can be quite distructive and dangerous if you do not have enough money to pay your heat, have a comfy safe place to live or even a safe car to drive…

All the above is my cheif pros and cons of the two places where I have lived.

Now, let’s hear yours !!! Feel free to be creative in your response but please remain respectful of others…

I can’t wait to hear more about other locations… This post and your thoughts could be very beneficial to people looking to move or explore new places…

  1. I live in Westen NC. Being a country girl at heart, I love it out here. I’m from a small town in NJ, but it was over-populated. Here, there are is fresh and I have 3 Walmarts that are about 25 minutes away. I’m far from the cities though (Asheville and Atlanta are the main ones), but they make for a nice day trip. We have plenty of towns full of rich history and of course, a plethora of restaurants and shops. I even found a homeopathic shoppe in a nearby town! The main drawback is that if you have an emergency, like the septic is backed up, you’ll need to make a few calls before people are willing to provide service to you. They tend to be VERY laidback and a little too carefree with their businesses. They aren’t “go-getters.” (lol) By the way, I don’t know how the schools are here because we homeschool our son. So, I can’t give any information about the education system. Other than that, NC is a beautiful place to live.
